HOW IT WORKS
The process
Healing isn't linear — but having a sense of the terrain can help. Here's how our work together tends to unfold.
1. Getting to Know You
We begin with a thorough intake — your history, your experiences, your relationships, and what you're hoping for from therapy. This isn't a checklist; it's a conversation. Attachment patterns often emerge here — how you've learned to connect, protect yourself, or reach for others — and that understanding shapes everything about how we work together.
2. Working with Body, Mind, and Relationship
As patterns and experiences surface, we draw on somatic tools, guided imagery, EMDR, and attachment-informed relational work to support healing at both psychological and physiological levels. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a space for repair — a place to experience what safe, attuned connection can feel like, often for the first time.
3. Integration Through Mindfulness and Movement
Throughout the work, mindfulness practices and somatic movement help anchor new insights in lived experience. These aren't optional extras — they're woven into how we work. Present-moment awareness, embodiment, and nervous system regulation build the foundation for lasting change.
4. Exploring What Was Inherited
Sometimes the weight we carry belongs to those who came before us. When family patterns, inherited beliefs, or generational experiences shape current struggles, we explore them — through EMDR, somatic work, and guided imagery — to help you reclaim what's yours and release what isn't.
5. Finding Your Ground
Therapy concludes when you feel more rooted in yourself — less pulled into old wounds, more able to navigate relationships and life's challenges with clarity, agency, and self-trust. The goal isn't to become someone new. It's to return to who you already are, with more room to breathe.

TOGETHER
Workshops & Groups
Healing doesn't only happen one-on-one. Groups and workshops offer something individual therapy can't — the lived experience of being witnessed, and of witnessing others. Research in neuroplasticity highlights the profound impact of social connection on brain health, and our group offerings are built on that foundation.
-
Small, facilitated groups focused on specific themes — building connection, nervous system regulation, and mutual support in a relational container. Topics vary throughout the year.
-
Single-session or multi-week offerings on topics like mindfulness, somatic awareness, nervous system education, and relational health. Open to members and the broader community.
-
Healing doesn't happen in a single hour a week. It happens in the spaces between — in connection, in rhythm, in showing up over time. Membership is built around that understanding.
BODY BASED HEALING
Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga, TCTSY
Experiences of psychological trauma profoundly change our relationship with our body. TCTSY works by restoring a felt sense of safety through an embodied, collaborative approach to healing that utilizes yoga forms and the power of authenticity and presence.
The TCTSY methodology is based on central components of hatha yoga. Elements of standard yoga are modified to maximize experiences of empowerment and to cultivate a more positive relationship to one's body.
The TCTSY approach engages participants and practitioners in a shared experience of choice-making and body-centered self-awareness. Over time, sensations noticed in the body may become useful resources for making choices in daily life.

OUR DIFFERENCE
What Make This Practice Unique
Many therapy practices are trauma-informed. Fewer make choice the central clinical intervention — not just a value, but a method.
-
Choice is not just a value here — it is the primary clinical intervention. At every moment, you decide what feels right, what you want to try, and when to pause.
-
Sessions use language of invitation. Nothing is directed or imposed. You are always offered options — never told what to do with your body or your experience.
-
Nothing is imposed. Consent and empowerment are woven into every interaction. Trauma often involves loss of control — therapy here works to restore it.
-
We start with what is already working in you. Therapy here builds on your existing capacities, resilience, and resources — not just what needs to be fixed or processed.
-
We recognize that brains work differently — and that difference is not a deficit. Our approach is adapted to honor how you think, process, and experience the world.
-
Movement in our sessions is optional and exploratory. There is no correct way to move, or participate, no pose to achieve, no performance expected.
“Your experience is your guide. You decide what feels right.”
